Database performance can be affected by other sessions running concurrently on the server. (A variety of different processes are typically present and required for normal operations.) VROOM allows you to examine the attributes of all the processes running on the server, as well as the real-time activity associated with the server’s CPUs.

The top graph shows the percentage of the host server’s total CPU capacity utilized by system and user processes, as well as processes currently idled while waiting for block I/O.

The bottom grid shows all processes present on the host server, sorted by memory usage.  Color coding indicates the operating status of the processes.

In addition to checking that all necessary processes are running, this may also allow you to check for performance bottlenecks.
