Since disk access is generally slower than memory access, a database’s performance can be severely impacted by its ability to access data on attached storage devices. This module allows you to view performance metrics for server block devices (generally attached disk drives.)

For each device, the charts show:
-- the percentage of time it was busy servicing I/O requests;
-- the average number of outstanding I/O requests during the sample period;
-- the number of read/write operations per second during the sample period;
-- the number of OS blocks transferred through it per second.
